Bishop Dyer looks back on his NXT entrance and who played pivotal roles in creating it.
When Dyer signed with WWE NXT in October of 2012, he would debut on the brand soon after and would have an entrance that would be widely praised by fans both for the theme song used and for the rest of the entrance in addition to that.
While speaking to The Sportster in a new interview, Bishop Dyer was asked about his NXT entrance and who came up with it, with the former WWE superstar pointing to Triple H and Undertaker as the strongest influences on how the entrance turned out.
“That was all Hunter and Taker. They played a lot of a part in my entrance, and that stoic walk and the attitude and just really kicking the crap out of people in 20 seconds, which was a lot of fun. But I always loved that. Walking through the spotlights, it just felt like such a cool entrance, and when I got to the main roster, they wanted to change it up a little bit because Sheamus had the white lights and all of that and I was like, ‘but it’s so different. Like, let me keep it.’ It is what it is.”
Elsewhere in another recent interview, Paul Wight said that AEW could benefit from signing Dyer. You can read more about that here.
