Bishop Kaun Explains Why He Wants To Be In The AEW Continental Classic: Let Me Go Swim With The Sharks And See How I Can Keep Up

Bishop Kaun discusses potentially having a run in the AEW Continental Classic, noting that he wants to swim with the sharks.

While Kaun is currently in the midst of a run in the trios division with The Demand, he still has aspirations for his singles career in pro wrestling. Last year, he noted that he wanted to enter the tournament, but was skipped over for the 2025 edition of the tournament.

While speaking to Grapsody in a new interview, Bishop Kaun spoke about why he wants to enter the Continental Classic.

“I feel like it’s one tournament where people can really truly showcase what they have and the abilities that they have, and it’s cool. The first year, it was a nice test run. Everyone was super into it. The second year, I saw some of the same players be in it who’ve already had opportunities. I think we should treat this, the Continental Classic, like people who don’t get singles opportunities and put them in this tournament. Let’s see how they do. Let’s see them get a run. Toa’s had single matches before. Me, I’m like an unknown. No one knows what I’m capable of. They see glimpses of it in these trios and tag matches. But, no, I want to be one of the best of all time. Like, I want singles gold. I want singles aspirations. Why wouldn’t we clamor for singles championships? So, no, put me in the Continental Classic Let me go fail. Let me go swim with the sharks. Let me see how I can keep up with these people or not.”
