Blake Christian Didn’t Know He Would Be In An Ultimate X Match When He Took IMPACT Booking In 2022

During WrestleMania 38 weekend in Dallas, Blake Christian had a busy week with matches for GCW, ROH, NJPW, and TNA Wrestling.
In TNA, Blake competed at Impact Wrestling Multiverse Of Matches in an Ultimate X match against Trey Miguel, Chris Bey, Jordynne Grace, Rich Swann and Vincent.
Speaking to Jeremy Lambert & Joel Pearl on In The Weeds, Blake reflected on his Ultimate appearance.
“I had no idea when I took that booking, I think that was WrestleMania weekend, I did Ring of Honor, New Japan, IMPACT, and GCW right after. I had no idea that was the match until it was posted. I was very excited because a lot of guys that I watched and grew up on were making that match famous. I was very excited for it. The only thing that I didn’t like was the ceiling was so low, you couldn’t do anything from the very top. That’s what I wanted. As they were setting it up, I was like, ‘I don’t think we can get up there.’ That’s why I settled for what I did off the scaffolding. That was my only letdown of it. It’s a legendary match and a lot of people don’t get to say they did it. I’m happy I was able to put that on my resume,” he said.
Miguel ended up winning the match, retaining the TNA X-Division Championship.
Elsewhere during the interview, Blake Christian revealed that he was supposed to be Axiom in WWE. You can find his full comments here.
