Blake Christian Says ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey Nudged Him To Perform ‘Lovin On Me’ During AEW All In Texas Weekend

‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey pushed Blake Christian to do it.

Since putting out a highlight video of himself with Jack Harlow’s ‘Lovin On Me’ as the background music, memes of Blake Christian and the song have circulated on social media within the wrestling space.

Christian took that attention and brought it to his presentation on AEW/ROH programming. His entrance video has ‘Vanilla Baby’ on it as well.

During AEW All In Texas weekend, AEW hosted a karaoke night, and it was there that Christian performed ‘Lovin On Me.’ He shared on AEW Unrestricted that it was ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey who nudged him to perform the song.

“So I put that tweet out as a joke. I completely was not going to do it. But when I showed up, Speedball (Mike Bailey) was also there, and he kind of gives me a stiff shot, like in the ribs and he says, ‘Get up there and do the song.’ I was like, ‘They don’t even have it on the list.’ It was either get kicked by Speedball or do the song so, and then by the time I did the song, Speedball had left. But, I think it was enjoyable for the fans. They loved it. It was fun. The people who were watching in the back, they loved it so I mean, I don’t know. It was a fun experience and yeah, it is what it is, you know?”

During Christian’s appearance on Fightful Overbooked’s ‘In The Weeds’ show, he shared that Tony Khan wants to secure the rights to ‘Lovin On Me’ so Christian can use it on television.
