Fish was signed by the company in 2017 and was immediately part of Undisputed Era alongside Kyle O'Reilly and Adam Cole when they debuted as a trio at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III. Fish would remain a staple on NXT television in the group, which became the most successful and dominant group in NXT history.

Fish is a former two-time NXT Tag Team Champion alongside Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong as the group used the Freebird Rule to defend the titles.

He was injured at WWE NXT TakeOver: WarGames IV, but recently returned to television and began a feud with Roderick Strong and Diamond Mine. He lost to Strong this past Tuesday on NXT.

Fish has yet to comment on his release.
