Bobby Lashley Looks Past The Miz And Dubs Drew McIntyre The Top Guy To Defeat

It's very clear that Bobby Lashley isn't concerned with the current WWE Champion nor does he see him as a threat.

The Miz finally captured his second WWE Championship at WWE Elimination Chamber 2021. He achieved this thanks, in large part, to Bobby Lashley.

Bobby Lashley, who had lost the WWE United States Championship earlier in the evening ran through Drew McIntyre after McIntyre successfully defended the WWE Championship inside of the Elimination Chamber match and allowed The Miz to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase to become WWE Champion for a second time.

The next night on Monday Night Raw it was revealed that Lashley helped Miz with the stipulation that The Miz must defend the WWE Championship against Lashley and Lashley will get that match on the March 1 episode of Monday Night Raw.

In an interview with Inside The Ropes, Bobby Lashley spoke about his dream match with Brock Lesnar once again but he would say that while Brock Lesnar is the dream match, Drew McIntyre is the match he wants to have because Drew McIntyre is the top guy in the mind of Bobby Lashley due to the fact that Drew McIntyre holds victories over Bill Goldberg and Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship.

“As far as Brock, Brock is one person but how I look at it is Drew beat Brock in, like, no time. So, of course, my sights were set on Brock for some time but, like I said, Drew is the man, Drew is the one that beat him, Drew beat Goldberg.”

He continued, “Of course Brock is that kind of mystery match, dream match that everybody has wanted us to have for some time now but right now, I’m looking to be the best, and right now the best is Drew. Drew is the top guy. If I beat Miz, or when I beat Miz, I think Drew is the guy.”

Lashley made no bones about dismissing the current WWE Champion, with his eyes firmly locked on headlining his first WrestleMania as WWE Champion.

It remains to be seen whether Bobby Lashley’s bravado will be rewarded with his first-ever WWE World Championship in history. Fightful will have live coverage of Monday Night Raw on Monday, March 1 beginning at 8 p.m. eastern time.
