Since signing with AEW in late 2023, Will Ospreay has been one of the companies top names and although he is out of action after undergoing neck surgery, fans expect him to return at the top of the card once again as AEW heads back to the UK for All In later this year. Now, a fellow AEW name has noted how much potential Ospreay has as a performer.
While speaking to the Mega Powers podcast in a new interview, Bobby Lashley spoke about Will Ospreay, noting that he checks all the boxes to become the face of AEW.
“Will Ospreay really, and it’s not just because it’s y’all, he’s a- unless there’s something else that I don’t know, my interaction with him, and I’ve seen how he does stuff, very respectful, and that’s why people get behind him. Think of how big of a star you can make him. Think of how fucking big of a star you can make him. He checks all the boxes, even on other places that may not say, that’s the guy. Yes, he is! He’s that dude that you can get behind. I’m not to disrespect anybody. It’s way more than that. When you talk about a pure baby face that didn’t get behind, he’s simple enough. I think a little twist in here, and then the right heel that can bring him fucking down and make him have to fight out of it.”
