Bobby Lashley Wants Daniel Cormier In WWE, Says He’d Recruit Josh Barnett If He Was A Talent Scout

Bobby Lashley says if he had the power, he would bring more MMA fighters to the WWE.

Bobby Lashley is the current WWE United States Champion and a member of Monday Night Raw’s faction, The Hurt Business. At other points in his wrestling career, Lashley was competing in MMA while the TNA Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion.

The melding of the MMA and pro wrestling worlds has become common in recent years are the events like Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport who made entirely of contests that mesh both forms of combat.

Speaking with TV Insider, the current United States Champion reveals that if Heroes in charge of recruitment for WWE, he would hire Josh Barnett and King Mo and former UFC Champion Heavyweight Champion.

“Josh Barnett for sure. He has that Hurt Business style. King Mo has been doing some wrestling things. He would do well. [Daniel] Cormier has expressed a lot of interest. I’d like to see him make that jump.”

Cormier was scheduled for a WWE commentary tryout in 2018 and Fox reportedly wanted Cormier to do commentary for SmackDown when the show moved to the network in October 2019.

Josh Barnett recently hosted Bloodsport 4 and at Bloodsport 5, Jon Moxley will be competing against Davey Boy Smith Jr.
