Bobby Roode wants his Wrestlemania moment.
On Smackdown tonight, Bobby Roode challenged WWE United States Champion Randy Orton to a rematch at Wrestlemania 34. Roode came out to the ring to tell Orton he wished to exercise his right to a rematch and wanted that match on "the grandest stage of them all" Wrestlemania.
In recent weeks, Jinder Mahal has inserted himself in the feud between Orton and Roode. Tonight on Smackdown he interrupted Roode and challenged him to a match.
Mahal won the match with the help of a distraction by Sunil Singh. The following is an excerpt from the Fightful Wrestling live coverage.
They go back and forth to start the match before Roode hits a running clothesline in the corner and a neckbreaker. Roode hits a diving clothesline off of the top before Jinder counters the Glorious DDT only for Roode to hit a blockbuster off of the second turnbuckle. Jinder comes back with a thrust kick before Roode counters the Khallas into a spinebuster for a near fall. Roode is then distracted by Singh before Jinder hits the Khallas for the pin and the win.
