From one United States Champion to another, Booker T shares his thoughts on Apollo Crews becoming the latest to hold the championship.
Booker T, a multi-time U.S. Champion in WWE, talked about Crews winning the title when he defeated Andrade on the May 25 episode of Raw. Crews won the match weeks after he got injured in a prior title challenge which forced Crews to pull out of the men's Money In The Bank ladder match.
Talking about Crews as champion on "The Hall Of Fame With Booker T & Brad Gilmore," Booker T spoke highly of Crews but noted that he hopes he can turn it up to another level. Booker T added Crews should try and go out into the ring ready to beat someone up.
"I need Apollo to know he got to go out there and perform, take it to another level. I don't mean that Apollo can't perform, can't work. Apollo is an amazing athlete, phenomenal, extraordinary. He does things in a lot of ways I couldn't even dream of doing. I wish I could work with Apollo... When you're a champion, you have to carry yourself in a certain way. I'm not talking about kissing up. I'm talking about going out there and whooping somebody's ass," Booker T said.
Crews is currently scheduled to make his first United States Championship defense against an opponent of his choosing tonight on Raw. Figthful will have live coverage of Raw.
