Booker T talks Rhea Ripley, Sensational Sherri, and intergender spots in wrestling.
In the Attitude Era, intergender spots were almost second nature in WWE. There was a point when Chyna was a fixture in the WWE Intercontinental Championship picture.
Today, male WWE Superstars no longer intentionally lash out and strike women. However, Rhea Ripley has no qualms about manhandling some of the male WWE Superstars that get in the way of her and Judgment Day.
Booker T has commented on Ripley and intergender wrestling overall, revealing on his Reality of Wrestling podcast that he is actually okay with spots where women get physical with men even though he doesn't like full intergender matches.
“I’m not opposed to women being physical with men. I’m not. Sherri was physical with men back in the day. It always worked. If a man, for instance, came in Sherri’s face, she would slap the crap out of him just because she knew the man couldn’t hit her back. It played into the action. So yeah, I’m totally for adding more women to the action, but I’m an intergender type guy. I’m not an intergender type guy where men are wrestling women," said the WWE Hall of Famer.
