Booker T, Samoa Joe, Shane Strickland, Lio Rush All Announced For WaleMania V

For the fifth consecutive year, Platinum-Selling Recording Artist and Grammy-nominated rapper, Wale, will host WaleMania to start the biggest weekend of the year in professional wrestling, WrestleMania. WaleMania V will take place at Sony Hall on April 4th, 2019 with doors opening at 7pm. The event will be produced by Jesse Kirshenbaum of Nue Agency and Kazeem Famuyide.

 

The fifth event of its kind, Wale will serve as master of ceremonies for the live podcast, fan festival, party and concert. The guest of honor will be legendary WWE Hall of Famer and five – time World Heavyweight Champion, Booker T. He will be a special guest on the live edition of the WrassleRap Podcast hosted by Emilio Sparks and Kazeem Famuyide (Flagrant 2, former WWE Creative, D’ussePalooza, StationHead). Booker T will be joining his Harlem Heat brother Stevie Ray, two nights later as they will be enshrined together in the WWE Hall of Fame. Booker T will become the third ever two-time WWE Hall of Famer joining Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels and the first-ever African American two-time WWE Hall of Famer.

 

Joining Booker T on the live podcast will be current WWE Raw Superstar Lio Rush, WWE RAW, current WWE United States Champion Samoa Joe, recording artist Josiah Williams of Wrestle And Flow , former Ring of Honor Champion and cast member of “The Bachelor,” Kenny King, former EVOLVE champion Shane “Swerve” Strickland, Former WWE Superstar MVP, recording artists Smoke DZA, Westside Gunn and the G4 Boyz. In addition to the live podcast, party, and concert, Mache Custom Kicks and Chalkline Official will be auctioning off a pair of one-of-a-kind custom sneakers and jackets respectively and donating 100% of the proceeds to charity.

 

The night will conclude with a concert and performance by Wale, whose current single “Poledancer” featuring Megan The Stallion is currently climbing the charts and is prepping the release of his sixth studio album under Warner Bros. Records. DJ Money, MoreSoupPlease, Jamie Iovine, and Meka Of 2DopeBoyz will DJ the event.
