Booker T says Roman Reigns had a great performance with "a guy who went straight to the pros" in Braun Strowman.
On Heated Conversations with Booker T, the five-time world champion and host Booker T was asked his opinion on WWE Payback. He immediately praised the Braun Strowman versus Roman Reigns match. He said the match was amazing but took the time to focus on Reigns who lost the match.
"Payback was an awesome show." said Booker T "It was one of Roman (Reigns) best matches. Even if he didn't pull it out, he came out all dinged up and wrapped up and didn't pull it out. Roman went out there, put it all on the line, and he came off with one of the best performances as of yet, with a guy like Braun Strowman, who's fresh...Braun Strowman is a guy who went straight to the pros and now he's working from a main event perspective," he continued.
At WWE Payback, Reigns was bandaged up after being beaten by Strowman, loaded into an ambulance by medical staff, and then had the ambulance flipped by Strowman. The two wrestlers have been feuding since WWE Fastlane. Neither Strowman or Reigns appeared on the episode of Raw following their match. Also during the radio show, Booker T discussed the other events of WWE Payback like Randy Orton's and Bray Wyatt's House of Horrors match.
