Sasha Banks' return to Raw earlier in August after a lengthy absence and was the talk of WWE and Booker T gives his thoughts on her return.
On his "Hall of Fame" podcast, Booker spoke about Banks lengthy absence and admitted that he wasn't sure the specific why Banks was absent from WWE for months, but her return was a good thing for WWE. Booker would go on to add that he understands why Banks felt the need to step back and be out of the spotlight for a while and that he appreciates her returning to the ring.
The former WCW champion would go on to state that WWE's women's roster needs someone like Banks to add more depth to it, especially given what she has been able to accomplish for the past several years.
"I do think the women's division needs Sasha Banks. I don't think the division would be the same without her. That's the kind of impact Sasha really brings to the division. Also there's many African American females that need a Sasha Banks to look up to [not taking away from Ember Moon or Naomi]. They need Sasha. She's been in a lot of these 'First Times:' Hell in a Cell, Iron Woman Classic. She's the one who's had these opportunities to get the rocket strapped and go to the moon. She's held the title several times... I understand what Sasha Banks was going through and sometimes you have to take a step back," Banks said.
