Big E, as a former NXT and Intercontinental Champion, has proven that he can be successful as a singles star.
On a recent episode of his podcast, Booker T discussed why he feels The New Day's heavy will one day make a great singles star and opponent for Brock Lesnar.
Booker started out by revealing that he has given E advice in times of frustration, "[Big E] was a little frustrated one day. And I was like, 'man, Trust me, bro, you [are] talent. You know, talent. One thing about cream, man, it always rises to the top. So just wait. Trust me on this.' Hopefully, he'll get his chance."
In regards to a potential match with Brock Lesnar, who easily defeated Kofi Kingston for his fifth WWE Title reign, the former WCW Champion spoke very fondly of Big E's size and strength as an asset for him in a matchup with The Beast, "I can see him competing with Brock Lesnar on a one-on-one scale," said Booker. "A guy like that, literally, from a fighting standpoint, you know, it will really be hard for a guy like Brock Lesnar fighting a guy like that just because you know the strength. You know, who you're going to give it to? In a strength matchup, I'm gonna give a strength matchup to Big E. One hundred percent of the time."
For now, with the 2019 draft, Brock is on the same brand as The New Day. All four men are on SmackDown. Perhaps, one day we will see a matchup between Brock and Big E.
