Both Nights Of WWE WrestleMania 36 Set To Run Three Hours & Fifteen Minutes

One of the criticisms following last year's WrestleMania was the length of the show growing out of control. With a two-hour Kickoff event and a show that ran just over five hours, many were feeling exhausted by the time Becky Lynch raised both the Raw and SmackDown Women's Championships over her head.

Becky Lynch herself made a joke about main eventing WrestleMania on Monday because by the time the main event of WrestleMania 35 came on the air, it was already past midnight. This year, however, WrestleMania 36 looks to change that with its two-night format. Night one will take place on Saturday, April 4th, while the traditional Sunday will play host to the second night of the event.

These nights will definitely be shorter than WrestleMania 35 Sunday was. The runtime for each Night of WrestleMania 36 (via WWE Network News) is 3 hours and 15 minutes long, lasting from 7-10:15 p.m. Eastern. Each show will also have a one-hour Kickoff event.

This year, WrestleMania 36 was taped in advance, a first in WrestleMania’s 35-year history. The show will also come from an empty WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, due to the COVID-19 outbreak and mandated social distancing.

Following night two of WrestleMania 36 will be a new WWE 24 episode centered around the career of Edge and his return at the 2020 Royal Rumble. Learn more about that at this link.
