At WrestleMania 34, Nia Jax defeated Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women's Championship after weeks of their feud following a long on-screen friendship. WWE announced Bliss has been granted her championship rematch where she will attempt to earn her fifth championship since being with WWE.

On the Smackdown following WrestleMania 34, Charlotte Flair was beat down by the debuting IIconics Billie Kay and Peyton Royce. This allowed Ms. Money In The Bank Carmella to cash in her briefcase and become Smackdown Women's champion. Flair will also be getting her contractually obligated championship rematch at WWE Backlash as announced by WWE. The announcement says there will be "paperwork" signed by both wrestlers on Tuesday's Smackdown.

While Jax and Carmella are first time champions, Bliss and Flair are looking for their fifth and sixth championships respectively.

Fightful Wrestling has live coverage and a recapping podcast for both Raw and Smackdown each week and the same will be provided for WWE Backlash.
