Bozilla Discusses How AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door Appearance Came About, If She’s Been Contacted By WWE

Bozilla confirms that she is under contract to STARDOM.

One of the matches on the marquee for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door in London, England, was the TBS Championship four-way match. The champion Mercedes Moné defended against Alex Windsor, CMLL’s Persephone, and STARDOM’s Bozilla.

A week removed from the bout, Bozilla reflected on the experience while speaking to Blid. She stated that she initially planned to go to Forbidden Door as a spectator because Will Ospreay invited her. It was then that STARDOM President Taro Okada presented her with the opportunity to compete on the show.

Bozilla went on to share that afterward, she received praise from Ospreay, her trainer, Josh Alexander, and she was contacted by WWE’s Giulia a few days later.

“Taro Okada came up to me and said, ‘You Forbidden Door?’ I said, ‘Yeah, maybe.’ I actually just wanted to go as a spectator; Will Ospreay had invited me. Then Okada said, ‘You match?’ I said, ‘What?’ Okada said, ‘You match at Forbidden Door.’ I said, ‘Okay!’ I thought it was the pre-show, but in the end, I was on the main card in the title match. Unbelievable.

Backstage, I received a lot of praise, even from people who didn’t know me before. My trainer Josh Alexander was proud of me, and Will Ospreay was also thrilled. I thought: I’m 21, I’ve only been doing this full-time since May 2024 – and I’m standing here. What else is there to come?!

Giulia wrote to me a few days later. Many colleagues congratulated me on spot. My first AEW match was a title match against Mercedes Moné—unforgettable! That day has a special place in my heart.”

Following up on that, Bozilla was asked if she’s been contacted by WWE. In 2024, following Stephanie Vaquer’s match against Mercedes Moné at Forbidden Door, she was signed to a WWE contract. Bozilla stated that there is always contact with leagues, but she’s happy where she’s at.

“There’s always contact with leagues – but I’m very happy at the moment.” Bozilla was later asked if WWE is a dream of hers, and she responded, “My dream is to have a permanent place in wrestling – whether it’s WWE, STARDOM, or AEW. I’m only 22 and I’m already being compared to legends like Aja Kong and Vader. I’m not a copy – I’m Bozilla.”

She stated that she is signed to STARDOM with options in that deal. She feels Japan is the best place for her to learn.

“I’m signed with options. Japan is the best place for me to learn – and I want to make my mark there.”

The 22-year-old Bozilla joined STARDOM over the summer. She had been with Rossy Ogawa’s Dream Star Fighting Marigold since 2024.
