Brad Garrett Says Voicing Hulk Hogan For 'Hulk Hogan's Rock 'n' Wrestling' Was A 'Shredder' To His Voice

Brad Garrett reflects on voicing Hulk Hogan in the classic 1980s cartoon series, Hulk Hogan's Rock 'n' Wrestling.

In the 1980s, the WWE's global expansion was hugely dependent on the connection Hulk Hogan and the other WWE Superstars had with young children. Part of that connection was achieved through LJN action figures and Hulk Hogan's Rock 'n' Wrestling cartoon.

Brad Garrett, best known today for playing the role of Robert on Everybody Loves Raymond, or perhaps as the antagonist in the Jimmy John's commercials, voiced "The Hulkster" on the series, and in a new interview with IMDb Pro, he described the role as a "shredder" to his voice.

Ironically, James Avery, who voiced Shredder in the 1980s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon, was also on the show. He provided the voice for the Junkyard Dog.

The cartoon aired on CBS from September 1985 through June 1987. New episodes of the cartoon aired through October 1986, with the final eight months consisting of reruns.

The show is not currently on any major streaming services.
