Braun Strowman: 'Flippy' Tweet Led To WrestleMania Showcase Match, So Did I Do Something Wrong?

Following WWE Crown Jewel, Braun Strowman was proud of his match with Omos and took to social media to brag about things.

Strowman tweeted, and then deleted, "Holy hell @TheGiant Omos can you believe we got 47 and reminded the people that no one cares about all these floppy floppers. Giants and Monster > flippy flipper bag your grocery’s at @kroger #AirportTest #SizeIsThePrize #SwoleIsTheGoal."

Many peers commented on Strowman's tweet, including Ricochet, who is now teaming with Strowman. The two will compete in the tag team showcase match at WrestleMania 39.

Speaking on the Ringer Wrestling Show, Strowman looked back on the tweet.

"I love stirring the proverbial hornet's nest of the internet wrestling community because it's so easy, y'all sell so hard for me. So hard. People that know me, everyone in our locker room knows me and how I am. If I'm picking on you, that means I care about you. That's just the personality that I am. If I'm going out of my way and spending my time on you, whether it's picking on you, talking to you, that means I care about you. If I don't talk to you, that means I don't like you. Joking around, I was feeling myself. I think Omos and I went out there and tore the house down. Where on earth do you see two human beings like that in the same room? Much less going out there and doing what we did. I have no problem patting myself on the back on the internet or wherever. Some people like it, some people hate it. Guess what, look where we're at. Look what happened out of one tweet. One tweet set the internet on fire and it's leading to a showcase match at WrestleMania. Soooo, did I do something right or did I do something wrong?" he questioned.

Ricochet previously stated that he didn't put much stock into the tweet.

Strowman & Ricochet will battle The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins), Alpha Academy (Otis & Chad Gable), and The Viking Raiders (Ivar & Erik) in the tag team showcase match. Fans can check out the lineup for WrestleMania 39 night one by clicking here.
