Braun Strowman Says El Grande Americano vs Original El Grande Americano Bout Made Him Remember Why He Loves Wrestling

Braun Strowman says the AAA bout between Chad Gable and Original El Grande Americano made him remember his love for wrestling.

At the recent AAA event on May 30th, ‘Original’ El Grande Americano and El Grande Americano would go one on one with a mask vs mask stipulation in a white hot feud that has been building since Chad Gable suffered an injury last year, leading to Ludwig Kaiser stepping into the mask. The match has been widely praised by fans, with the crowd in the venue also giving El Grande Americano a massive pop when he scored the victory, leading to Chad Gable being officially revealed as ‘Original El Grande Americano.’

While speaking on Off The Ropes with Jonathan Coachman in a recent interview, Braun Strowman spoke about the bout, noting that it made him remember why he loves wrestling.

“That AAA match between (Chad) Gable and Ludwig (Kaiser) made me feel. It made me remember why I love professional wrestling. It made me go, ‘I can go.’ In my mind, I can go. I can take my shirt off, and I’ll show you (that) I look better than anybody on that damn roster or any three-letter brand roster. I’ve been focusing on these nerve injuries and all this other stuff. The reality of it is, I miss being in the ring. I miss being in the locker room. I don’t miss the rest of the bullshit that comes along with it.”
