Bray Wyatt Officially Returns At WWE Extreme Rules As The White Rabbit Is Revealed

Bray Wyatt is back.

As WWE Extreme Rules was going off the air, the lights in the arena went out and the familiar voice of Bray Wyatt began singing "he's got the whole world in his hands." The camera then cut to live versions of Bray's Firefly Fun House puppets including Ramblin' Rabbit, Mercy The Buzzard, Huskus The Pig Boy, and Abby The Witch. A man dressed as The Fiend was also shown at the barricade and a head was shown on the announcer's table.

A video aired with a dead-looking Fun House before a new character appeared on the screen. In the arena, a door was opened with a light shining through. Wyatt emerged with his trademark lamp and a different mask. He took the mask off to reveal himself and then said, "I'm here" before blowing out the lantern.

Wyatt last appeared on WWE television on the Raw after WrestleMania 37 in a Firefly Fun House segment where he welcomed everyone to a fresh start following his loss to Randy Orton at WrestleMania 37 where Alexa Bliss turned on him during the bout. He was released by WWE on July 31, 2021. His last match was the WrestleMania 37 bout against Orton.

Since leaving WWE, Wyatt has remained a free agent and remained quiet about his future in wrestling. Following his WWE departure, Wyatt fielded Hollywood inquiries and worked on a film with Callosum Studios owner and special makeup effects artist Jason Baker.

The White Rabbit references began during WWE live events in mid-September when Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit" would play during breaks. Since then, QR codes have popped up on WWE Raw and WWE SmackDown leading to the rabbit hole of clues. Past QR codes have led to clues referencing comments and tweets made by Bray Wyatt, Alistair Black's (Malakai Black) theme music, Joe Gacy, Karrion Kross, coordinates to upcoming WWE shows, and more.

The latest video, which originally aired on WWE SmackDown, teased that the White Rabbit would be revealed at WWE Extreme Rules. There were minor White Rabbit cut in videos during the Kick-Off show and the Brawling Brutes entrance at Extreme Rules.
