Bret Hart Refused To Take Scott Hall’s ‘Razor’s Edge’ Finisher: “‘It’s Too Dangerous, Too Stupid Of A Move For Me To Do'”
Hart stated that he refused to take the move.
Dominic DeAngelo of Studio 1 Sports conducted an extensive interview with three-time WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart.
As the conversation moved along, the focus shifted over to Hart’s in-ring history with Scott Hall. Hart would go on to share that he refused to take Hall’s ‘Razor’s Edge’ finisher.
“His finish where he would do that — what we call the Razor’s Edge, and he would pick you up and drop you on your head. I remember I go, ‘Nobody is doing that to me, ever. I don’t care,’ and I would stand by that today. He goes, ‘Oh, don’t worry. I’ll set you down.’ I’m like, ‘Not on my f*cking head you’re not. No way. There’s no f*cking way. You’re 6’6 or something. You’re gonna fall backwards with me. The first thing that hits the ground is my head, and my upper back.’ I said, ‘This doesn’t make any sense. It’s too dangerous, too stupid of a move for me to do,’ and I refused to do it, and period.”
Scott Hall, a.k.a. Razor Ramon, passed away in March 2022. There was an outpouring of social media tributes for him following his passing, and those can be viewed here.
