Brett Lauderdale Shares That Allie Katch Has Been At GCW Events, Thinks She’ll Be Back In Action For The Promotion At Some Point
Katch has been back in the swing of things, but not for GCW.
Back in January 2025, Allie Katch faced EFFY at GCW ‘The People vs. GCW’ at Hammerstein Ballroom. Early on in the match, Katch went for a dive to the outside and ended up breaking her leg.
She returned to in-ring action in November and has competed for F1RST Wrestling, Beyond, Freelance, and Pro Wrestling Junkie.
Her absence from GCW was brought up to Game Changer Wrestling promoter Brett Lauderdale during a recording of The Business of the Business podcast. Lauderdale said he’s not sure if Katch will be a regular in GCW again, but he can say with a reasonable amount of certainty that she’ll be back in action for them at some point.
He added that she’s been at a few GCW events post-surgery, and she has a great relationship with those at GCW, including him.
“In this very moment, I can’t tell you if she is ever gonna be a regular again. I don’t know. What makes somebody a regular? But, I can tell you with (a) pretty reasonable degree of certainty and confidence that she will be back. I think it’s just a matter of timing, and figuring out what the right entry point is… It’s not always as simple as, oh, she’s back so she’s gotta be back at GCW. Sometimes timing is everything and sometimes, one side wants to try this and the other side wants to try something else and you just agree to, ‘Well, let’s hold off right now and let’s revisit this in two weeks or revisit this in a month or two months,’ and eventually, you’re gonna figure it out or that right opportunity will come around or you’ll have this one situation pop up where it’s like, ‘Wait a minute. Now is the moment,’ and that’s what’s gonna happen here. She’s been around. She’s actually been at a few GCW shows in the last couple months, just not on the show. But she’s been there. She’s still, of course, very close with many people in the locker room including myself. She’s one of those people that really helped put GCW on the map… in our boom period so to speak so, she’ll always be looked at fondly in GCW history and whether she’s on every show or she’s on one show a month or once every couple months, I anticipate that she’ll always be around for as long as she’s a wrestler.”
