Brian Cage Challenges Lucha Underground Champion Next Week

Pentagon Jr has been defending his Championship a lot this season.

Already during the fourth season of Lucha Underground, Pentagon Jr defended his Lucha Underground Championship in the season premiere in a 20-man Aztec Warfare match and then defeated Matanza Cueto on the next episode.

On this weeks episode, he attacked Brian Cage and cost him an Aztec Medallion in a match against Mil Muertes. After the match, Pentagon told Cage that they will meet next week in a Championship match.

The following is an excerpt from the play-by-play provided by Fightful's Carlos Toro.

Pentagon appears from the crowd and kicks Cage upstairs, takes the chair and hits Cage with it. Muertes brings Cage to the ring and spears him, followed by a flatliner. Muertes gets the three-count and wins the match.

Official result: Mil Muertes defeats Cage to win an Ancient Aztec medallion for a shot at the Gift of the Gods championship

Katrina refuses to step into the ring for her usual lick of death and walks away.

Pentagon said Cage shouldn’t be sad for losing the match because they will fight for the title next week and that just like Aztec Warfare, Pentagon will walk away the champion and in the end, Cage will have his arm broken into little pieces.

Also during this week's episode, four of the seven Aztec Medallions were awarded which will lead to a Gift of the Gods Championship match. The winner of that match will be able to challenge whomever holds the Lucha Underground Championship.

Fightful has coverage and results every week for Lucha Underground and the show is discussed on the Fightful Weekender podcast.
