Brian Cage Replies To Don Callis’ Tweet, Brings Up Callis/IMPACT Management Keeping Him Off AEW Double Or Nothing 2019

Cage replies to Callis.

Fightful published an article about a comment made by Brian Cage. The current AEW talent stated that Don Callis never expected his AEW faction to grow as much as it has.

Callis reacted to the comments:

That caught Cage’s attention, and he replied:

It is known that Cage was supposed to be in the Casino Battle Royale at AEW Double or Nothing 2019, but he was pulled by IMPACT/TNA Wrestling because he was still under contract to the promotion. Callis and Scott D’Amore were the co-Executive Vice Presidents of IMPACT at the time.

Cage stated in past media appearances that IMPACT threatened him with a lawsuit as well. It was supposed to be him and Hangman Adam Page as the final two in that Casino Gauntlet match. Cage was the IMPACT World Champion at the time.

Cage ended up debuting for AEW a year later at the 2020 Double or Nothing pay-per-view in the Casino Ladder match. He’s currently sidelined after undergoing two surgeries within a short timeframe.
