During an appearance on Hey! (EW), Brian Cage was asked about graduating with Rodgers and whether they were friends. Cage then recalled how they used to talk about wrestling.

“You know what’s so cool about him? He was a really cool guy. Everyone, that was the Attitude Era, everyone watched wrestling, doesn’t matter how much they said they didn’t watch wrestling. Everyone watched wrestling. Him, still a high school quarterback, popular guy, he never faded once. He knew I was a huge wrestling fan, so math class, we would always talk. ‘Man, you watch Raw last night? You watch Nitro?’ He knew," Cage said.

Rodgers suffered a torn Achilles tendon in his first regular season game with the New York Jets, and he will miss at least the majority of the season.

Seth Rollins previously named Rodgers as one of the top heels in sports. Check out his comments here.
