Brian Kendrick: I'd Be Happy To Help Kids Learn From My Mistakes

Brian Kendrick has been around the wrestling business since 1999 when he made his professional debut. He's a former WWE Cruiserweight and Tag Team Champion who has also competed for ROH and TNA/IMPACT.

Fightful Select reported that Kendrick was back in WWE for Survivor Series, working as a producer at the event. Kendrick previously worked as a producer in WWE from 2020 to 2022 before he was granted his release. He was set to debut for AEW on February 2, 2022, but was pulled after old clips and comments surfaced of Kendrick giving conspiracy theories related to the Holocaust. Kendrick's remarks included him saying the Sandy Hook shooting was faked, that the Holocaust was overblown to justify the creation of Israel, and that World War 2 concentration camps were for delousing.

In May, Kendrick apologized for his past comments saying, among other things, he "was trying to create some sort of buzz and I didn't care who I offended."

Speaking on Icons of Sports Entertainment, Kendrick was asked what advice he might give his younger self.

"I wouldn't give the advice to me because I don't want to change my life. I'd be happy to help kids learn from my mistakes. I don't wish I was in AJ Styles' shoes because this is the path that I'm supposed to be on, but what AJ has done right, what all these guys have done right, where I have failed, what I would tell them is, you can't allow yourself any excuses. You have to put in the work. What I would tell young me is that [audio issues], for me, my attitude, hubris, all of that have led to downfalls over and over again. I've had to pick myself up and start over several times in pro wrestling. Sometimes, it's because of [audio issues] a lack of humility," said Kendrick.

Kendrick's work as a producer at WWE Survivor Series was reportedly on a tryout basis.

Kendrick was the producer for the WWE SmackDown Women's Title match between Ronda Rousey and Shotzi. Jason Jordan also worked as a producer of the match.
