Brian R. Solomon Recalls WrestleMania X-7 After Party, ‘Vince McMahon Smoking A Big Cigar, Bobby Heenan Chasing Vince To Get Rehired’

WrestleMania X-7 is considered to be the greatest WrestleMania ever by many fans and pundits. April 1 marks the 25th anniversary of the event, which was headlined by Steve Austin and The Rock.
On Wednesday afternoon, Brian Gewirtz told the story of how the WrestleMania 2000 after-party was a downer, but set up the path to WrestleMania X-7.
Later in the evening, Brian R Solomon gave insight into the X-7 after-party.
“The WM 17 afterparty was a blast. Everyone knew it was a big success. Vince smoking a big cigar (a rare sight!) with Ed Cohen. Motorhead had their own table. Gimmick Battle Royal guys like Kamala, Bushwackers, Repo Man at a table. Bobby Heenan chasing Vince to try to get rehired,” he wrote.
