Brie Bella Initially Wasn’t Going To Do ‘Yes Kicks’ In 2026 Royal Rumble Match, Says WWE Producer Encouraged Her To Do It

Bella explains why she initially did not want to do the kicks.

The Bella Twins (Nikki Bella & Brie Bella) are making the media rounds to promote Brie Bella’s return to WWE and the reunion of The Bella Twins in wrestling.

One of their stops along the media blitz was a chat with Sam Roberts on Notsam Wrestling Live!. Speaking about her return to in-ring action in the 2026 women’s Royal Rumble match, Brie shared that initially, she was not going to do the ‘Yes Kicks,’ but said a producer encouraged her to do the kicks.

“So, I was not gonna do the ‘Yes Kicks.’ Because I’ve not done the Yes Kicks since 2018. I just told everyone no. There was a certain producer (who) was like, ‘I really think you should do ‘em’ and I’m just like, ‘No, I’m not prepared. I just can’t,’ and it was about three hours before showtime, it just came to me, I go, ‘If they chant yes, I’ll do ‘em.’ Because I didn’t know. I didn’t wanna go out there and do the Yes Kicks and no one’s chanting yes. It just didn’t feel right…”

The ‘Yes Kicks’ are associated with Brie’s husband, former WWE, AEW, and ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson. Danielson helped train Brie for her comeback.
