Brie Bella Says WWE Was Set On Giving Bella Twins A Long Run With Women's Tag Titles

Brie Bella talks Women's Tag Titles.

Earlier this year, WWE introduced the Women's Tag Team Titles to the division, giving female superstars one more goal to achieve. Sasha Banks & Bayley won the titles at Elimination Chamber and immediately established them as titles that could be defended across all brands. However, The IIconics won the titles at WrestleMania 35 and the belts disappeared from television for long stretches.

Brie Bella spoke to ESPN1530's No Holds Barred (transcript via Rick Ucchino) about the titles and how the Bella Twins could have saved the division.

"I feel like sometimes there might be so many things going on. Creatively like, they do have something that worry about first, second, third, fourth... and I feel like both the Men's Tag Team Titles and Women's Tag Team Titles are down the list of being important. Which is too bad... even for the men, I see their division... I feel like it all should be important," said Brie. "Maybe because they're so new, that they are kind of still just getting their feet wet and what they want to do with them... I know they kind of were set on my sister and I doing a long run with them, and some times things happen last minute."

Nikki Bella previously revealed that her and Brie were set to feud with the IIconics after WrestleMania but Nikki's injury prevented the feud from happening. You can view Nikki's full quotes by clicking here.
