Britt Baker Brought Mercedes Martinez Into AEW, Penta Oscuro Tease, And More | AEW Fight Size

Here is your post-AEW Fight Size update for Wednesday, February 9, 2022.

- The show started with MJF boasting about his victory over CM Punk last week, though he gave zero credit to Wardlow who handed him the Diamond Ring that helped him knock Punk out.

CM Punk then came out, with Sting and Darby Allin and demanded a rematch against MJF. The offer was accepted, but only if Punk could find a tag team partner (not named Sting or Darby Allin) and defeat FTR later in the night.

- After a commercial, Wardlow was in action against The Blade. Wardlow continued his hot streak, defeating the A.H.F.O. member after delivering a Powerbomb Symphony. Shawn Spears entered the ring after the bell and attacked The Blade with a steel chair.

- The Inner Circle meeting didn't go smoothly, as Chris Jericho ended up arguing with Santana and Ortiz the entire time. The two sides see history differently, with the tag partners believing Jericho has hindered them from reaching their full potential. After Sammy Guevara threatened to leave the group unless they sorted out their differences, a tag team match was made for next week between Santana & Ortiz and Jericho & Jake Hager.

- Penta was shown digging at a graveyard, with Alex Abrahantes saying he will be getting revenge for Malakai Black spitting mist in his eyes. Penta then pulled out a black mask and was called Penta Oscuro, a play on his name in Lucha Underground, Pentagon Dark.

- Keith Lee made his AEW debut, defeating Isiah Kassidy to qualify for the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match. Tony Khan tweeted out soon after that Lee was signed and is officially All Elite.

- Bullet Club's Switchblade Jay White walked through the forbidden door, helping Adam Cole and The Young Bucks beat up Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta backstage. Matt and Nick Jackson later asked Adam Cole why he didn't tell them White was coming, to which he reminded them that they all once took the oath to be Bullet Club for life.

- Britt Baker wants everyone to know that she is the one that brought Mercedes Martinez into AEW. It was then announced that Martinez will face Thunder Rosa next Wednesday night in a No DQ Match.

- CM Punk found a partner in Jon Moxley for his match against FTR. The two would emerge victoriously, earning Punk his rematch, though no date for the bout was given.

- Jade Cargill retained the TBS Championship and preserved her undefeated streak by pinning A.Q.A. on Dynamite.

- It took only 1 minute for Serena Deeb to win her first-ever 5-Minute Rookie Open Challenge.

- In a brutal and bloody affair, Hangman Adam Page retained the AEW Championship by defeating Lance Archer in a Texas Deathmatch.
