Britt Baker has been lauded for her recent work as a heel on AEW Dynamite. But the character likely wouldn't be quite as good if it weren't for her partnership with Tony Schiavone.
Baker's first big heel promo came at the expense of Schiavone on the Chris Jericho Cruise where she chastized Schiavone for being a former Starbucks barista. From there the two have been best friends on-screen and off.
"Tony, I can not say enough good things. He is the best. He accidentally butt-dialed me when he was shopping in the liquor aisle last week so we FaceTimed for a second. There's something about him where he's so calming, but he also feeds off the verbal abuse so well. He helps my character so much because he plays along better than anybody in the entire locker room could because of who he is and what he does and how he interacts. He's such a good sport about everything and will have ideas to make things better. He's really like my tag partner. I'm so thankful to him," said Baker on Talk Is Jericho.
Baker continues to lovingly make fun of Schiavone most weeks on AEW Dynamite, but that's what best friends do.
Elsewhere during the podcast, Baker revealed Chris Jericho's influence behind her character. You can find her full comments by clicking here.
