Britt Baker Explains How She Puts Her Promos Together: How Can I Be An A**hole?

Britt Baker has shown tremendous growth on the microphone over the last 18 months as she's switched her character from babyface to heel.

Baker has been lauded for her ability to cut a promo and getting the crowd to react. Though she's receiving more of a babyface reaction, Baker hasn't switched her approach.

Tony Khan: 'I’ve Found AEW Has Gotten Stronger The More I Take On'

"I get more nervous for promos than anything else because it's all eyes on you and if something goes wrong, it's your fault," Baker said on Endless Hustle. "The fans are unpredictable, especially in today's society. You think you know what they're going to do, but you never know. They're cheering the bad guy. It's so unpredictable. For me, I'm a bullet point type person. I like to think of what to say and what is my goal and then, pretty much, how can I be a real asshole in saying what I want to say. That's my character, that's who I am. It's a little bit of reality too because I love a good zinger in real life. I have a lot of fun with promos and I've had a lot of growth and development and help with promos too because I had no idea what I was doing at first. It's come a long way."

Baker previously spoke about how her hard work has paid off and how the fans have cheered her because they respect her. You can find her full comments by clicking here.

Baker successfully defended her AEW Women's Champion against Nyla Rose on Wednesday's Dynamite. If you missed anything from AEW Dynamite, check out Fightful's full report on the show by clicking here.
