Britt Baker: WWE Definitely Let Me Know They Had Interest In Me, But It Wasn't Mutual

Britt Baker never thought about jumping ship to WWE.

Adam Cole and Britt Baker were in competing companies until AEW All Out with Cole signed to WWE NXT and Baker signed to AEW. Cole previously noted that NXT officials had interest in Baker and would ask Cole about her status.

Speaking on Throwing Down with Renee Paquette & Miesha Tate, Baker confirmed the interest but noted that it wasn't mutual.

"It's no secret, [Adam] has already said it, that cat is out of the bag and I'm not going to get in trouble. WWE was definitely poking the bear a little bit through him recently, when I was still with AEW. 'Hey, we're interested in her,' without teetering the line of contract tampering, they definitely let me know that they had interest in me, but it wasn't a mutual thing. I'm very happy with AEW and thankful for the opportunities and this is where I want to stay," she said.

Cole's contract with NXT expired in August and he joined his girlfriend in AEW at All Out.

Baker is the reigning AEW Women's Champion and is coming off a successful defense of her title against Ruby Soho at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam.
