Brock Lesnar Feels Current WWE Environment Is ‘A Lot Softer’ Compared To His First Run

Lesnar compares the two environments.

Brock Lesnar is back in the fold of WWE programming since returning to the company at the conclusion of SummerSlam 2025.

He is part of a program with Oba Femi, and they are set to clash at WrestleMania 42. A new interview with Lesnar was pushed out by Spittin’ Chiclets, and as the chat rolled on, he stated that the WWE environment has gotten ‘a lot softer’ in comparison to his first go-around with the company. Lesnar added that he had to pay his dues and was tested by the veterans at the time.

“Yeah, definitely,” Lesnar said in response to it being mentioned that people were looking to test him during his first WWE run. “I was a shooter, an amateur guy. I had a lot of credentials to my name. Of course I got tested along the way by the old timers. You have to pay your dues. Back then, you paid your dues and you had to get your respect. It’s different now, obviously. Things have gotten a lot softer. There isn’t no more kangaroo courts… It’s different now but, I go there, I’m the old guy now.”

In the same interview, Lesnar explained why he returned to WWE, and his comments can be read here.
