Brock Lesnar: If I Didn’t Win A Little Kids’ Wrestling Tournament, My Mother Left Me At The Venue To Find My Own Ride

A story from Lesnar’s childhood.

Brock Lesnar’s accolades in amateur wrestling include an NCAA Division I Championship, being a two-time NCAA All-American, and finishing with a 106-5 record.

He got into amateur wrestling when he was a kid, and told a story about that during his appearance on Spittin’ Chiclets. Lesnar stated that if he did not win a tournament, his mother would leave him at the venue, and he’d have to find his own way home.

“Even my mom, my mom had so much expectations out of me. My mom, bless her heart, and I thank her to this day even. If I didn’t win a little kids’ wrestling tournament, she left me there to find my own ride. She was pissed, and I didn’t wanna ride home with her for three hours and in the backseat of that car — she just left me and I was like, ‘I can’t believe my mom. She left me here.’”

Lesnar is back in the fold of WWE programming, and next up for him is a singles match against Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42. Their latest on-screen interaction can be read about here.
