Brody King Says Tony Khan’s ‘Mind Was Blown’ When He Saw Brodido’s Handshake

Brody King recalls Tony Khan’s initial reaction to Brodido’s special handshake.

Over the summer, Brody King and Bandido began to team together in the AEW Tag Team division, becoming the AEW World Tag Team Champions at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. The two are long time friends, but Tony Khan was still surprised to see the pair on ‘secret handshake’ terms.

While speaking on The Close Up With Renee Paquette, the team were asked about being paired together in AEW and how it came about, with Brody noting that it began with an All Star tag booked by Tony Khan.

“I think it was just one of those all-star, Tony Khan, every good wrestler in a match together, and then we just had really great chemistry together.”

Renee would then ask if Tony was aware the pair were already good friends, and Brody noted he was mindblown by the pair’s handshake.

“I don’t think so. No. No, because then when we started doing the handshake, he was mind blown by the handshake. The handshake is probably eight years old at this point.”
