Brody King talks about the future of he and Bandido’s tag team in All Elite Wrestling.
King and Bandido would team up as tag team partners last year, and became the AEW World Tag Team Champions as ‘Brodido’, but would split up in the new year due to the pair focusing on competing in singles matches.
While speaking to Denise Salcedo in a new interview, Brody King noted that fans have definitely not seen the end of Bandido.
“Me and Bandido have been friends for a long time, since PWG, honestly. Then we went to Ring of Honor together. We went to Japan together. We’ve been around each other for a very long time, so we’re very familiar with each other. We know how each other wrestles. We’ve wrestled each other a bunch, so when we did this, I think it was just like a random, like, all-star tag team match or whatever, and then our chemistry was just perfect. Somebody, I think, tweeted the word Brodido, and then Tony was like, that’s it, Brodido. Then we became champions. We had a classic match with FTR. We had a great match with Takeshita and Okada. I can’t complain. We had great matches with the Young Bucks. I hope that once everything starts to settle down, we can get back to tag team wrestling, and Brodido, you definitely haven’t seen the end of Brodido.”
Elsewhere in an interview with Fightful, Julia Hart spoke about being under King’s wing. You can read more about that here.
