Bron Breakker Says Rick Steiner Is Retired, Won't Return For Potential Tag Match

Rick Steiner has been involved on and off on NXT television ever since his son Bron Breakker made his debut in September 2021.

Most recently, Steiner was kidnapped by Joe Gacy and Harland as part of Gacy's feud with Breakker.

Despite Steiner's appearances on NXT, don't expect him to step in the ring again with his son.

Breakker told Ryan Satin on Out of Character that his father is retired and when asked if he would return for a potential tag team bout, Breakker replied, "No, he won't do it. He's just one of those people that, in his prime, he was a beast back in the day, 300 pounds and behind the neck press 365 (pounds) for sets of ten. He was nuts. He did 20 years in the business, at the top of the tag team division or singles division for pretty much the entire time. I think he's at peace with his career and performing. He thinks it's good. He's satisfied with what he was able to accomplish and just walk away and transition into other stuff. He's made a big transition, he's been on the school board for 20 years if he gets re-elected this year and he's been doing real estate for a long time. He's busy. He has no interest in doing it [wrestling] anymore."

Rick hasn't wrestled since 2019.

While Breakker says that Rick is retired, his uncle Scott Steiner remains active in the ring.

When asked about the possibility of teaming with Scott, Breakker replied, "That would be fun. I don't know, never say never, I guess. I would love to do something with him, but I don't know, I guess we'll see."

Rick & Scott Steiner were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2022.

Breakker is set to defend his NXT Championship against Joe Gacy at NXT In Your House. Fans can view the current lineup for the show by clicking here.
