Jinder Mahal will challenge for the NXT Championship on he February 21 episode of WWE NXT.
On the February 14 episode of NXT, NXT Champion Bron Breakker returned to the show for the first time since he defended the gold in a Steel Cage Match against Grayson Waller at NXT Vengeance Day. Before Breakker could say much, Indus Sher (Jinder Mahal, Veer Mahaan & Sanga) came to the ring. Mahal made it clear that he respected Breakker's successful reign, but he highlighted the stress and the pressure that Breakker was under as the champion. The former WWE Champion also noted that some fans had started to turn on Breakker before he challenged him to a title match. Breakker accepted the challenge and joked that Indus Sher was the new Three Man Band (Mahal, Heath Slater & Drew McIntyre).

Elsewhere on the show, Jacy Jayne will aim to gain more momentum when she faces Indi Hartwell. On Tuesday night, Jayne explained why she turned on her Toxic Attraction partner Gigi Dolin on the February 7 episode. She emphasized that she was tired of being the third wheel. Jayne stated that she was the talk of the town, and she was the last woman standing in Toxic Attraction. Later in the show, Hartwell addressed Jayne's message and made it clear that she wouldn't jump to the front of the line so easily.
Plus, Ilja Dragunov will face Trick Williams. Dragunov had been sidelined due to an injury since October until he returned on the February 7 episode of NXT and cost JD McDonagh his match with Carmelo Hayes. On his way to the ring. Dragunov took out Williams, and Hayes' hype man called the former NXT UK Champion out the following week. Thanks to a distraction from McDonagh, Williams caught Dragunov off-guard and attacked him from behind, setting the stage for their match next week.
