Bronson Reed: I Would Rather Win The World Heavyweight Title Than Dethrone Roman Reigns

Bronson Reed wants to make history by winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Since WWE WrestleMania 38, Roman Reigns has held both the Universal Championship and the WWE Championship. He had reigned supreme as the Universal Champion since WWE Payback 2020, and he unified the titles by defeating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38. On the April 24, 2023, episode of WWE Raw, Triple H announced that WWE would crown a new World Heavyweight Champion at WWE Night of Champions. Reed, who returned to WWE in December, has scored some dominant wins on WWE Raw, has his sights set on the gold.

Speaking on Out of Character with Ryan Satin, Reed was asked whether he would prefer to be the first to hold the WWE World Heavyweight Championship or the one to dethrone Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. He stated that he would rather win the new title, as no one else could say that. Reed then noted that being the first champion would allow him to build a new legacy.

"I would say be the first just because, once you’ve done that, there’s no one else that can ever say they could do that. Obviously, once Roman Reigns is dethroned, if he’s ever dethroned, you’re gonna be the one and only to do that as well. But with this new championship, you can build a whole new legacy and etch out how you see a champion being fit and how they should be a world champion," Reed said.

Reed also stated that he loves the design of the new title, and he was a big fan of the previous version
