“I see myself as a main-event-caliber talent for NXT, and that world title is definitely a goal of mine, so proving myself against Cole is very important,” Reed says. “We’ve bumped shoulders backstage before, and I’d always wondered what it would be like to share the ring with him. Now it’s time for people to see it.”

He continued, “I’m excited to work my way up that ladder into the title picture. That begins with the match against Cole. I’ve always had to work for every opportunity I’ve been given. I’ve started from the bottom rung, from the independents in Japan and going all the way to NXT, and working my way up here."

- As stated by the Twitter account "The Local Competitor," the lawyer for Jinder Mahal on WWE Raw last night was Arjun Singh. Singh is an independent talent who faced Angelico on the 6/29 AEW Dark

- Speaking with Sportskeeda, Bianca Carelli the daughter of Santino Marella explained what to expect from a WWE tryout.

"You got to be prepared for a physical element. So you need to make sure you are in good athletic shape and ring shape. Because you're doing exercises like sit-ups and push-ups, burpees, running, and lifting," said Bianca Carelli. "So you need to make sure that your body is trained. And then you're doing stuff in the ring - running the ropes, doing different drills. Having a match was one of the components of my tryout. You need to make sure that you know how to have a match, you know how to tell a story, and that you can run those ropes for a very long time. Because you don't wanna be the first one to stop."

"You get an opportunity to speak and show how comfortable you are in front of a camera. You need a lot of really nice people that are also wrestling. It's a good way to see how you compare to people who want to pursue the same thing as you. And maybe you can get inspired from it." Bianca continued, "For me, it was inspiring to see people from all over Canada who were so passionate about wrestling - seeing what their strong parts were. Maybe what they could improve; how I could improve. What my strong parts were in relation to that."

- WWE has commented on the passing of Super Porky:

The always charismatic and infectiously hilarious Lucha Libre Legend José Luis Alvarado Nieves, better known in the squared circle as “Super Porky” (Brazo de Plata), passed away Monday at the age of 58. The celebrated Mexican competitor was a proud member the Alvarado wrestling family, which includes several generations of luchador athletes, as well as being a member of the squared circle for nearly 40 years — including a stint with WWE from 2005 to 2006.
