Bruce Prichard Details Moment He Had With John Cena At WWE Survivor Series: WarGames

Prichard and Cena shared a moment after the I.C. Title match.

The second-to-last match that John Cena had in his pro wrestling career was against Dominik Mysterio at Survivor Series: WarGames. The WWE Intercontinental Championship was on the line, and Cena lost the belt to Mysterio after having to fight off The Judgment Day (Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Roxanne Perez, Finn Bálor & J.D. McDonagh).

After the match, Cena shared a moment with WWE executive Bruce Prichard, and Prichard spoke about that during his chat with Brandon Tierney and Sal Licata.

“All the above,” Prichard responded when asked if it’s been fun or challenging to navigate John Cena’s retirement tour. “And I gotta tell ya, it’s also been kind of sad too because the last match he had in San Diego, he wrestled Dominik Mysterio, Survivor Series. I hugged him after the match and I said, ‘You know what? I’m sad. I’m sad that we are only gonna do this one more time,’ and he looked at me and said, ‘Bruce, I’ve only got one more time left in me.’ So, bless his heart. It’s been an absolute blast doing it and I’m just sad that it’s coming to an end.”

Cena’s final match is scheduled to take place on December 13th at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. His final opponent will be GUNTHER.
