Bruce Prichard Explains Why He Was Frustrated During His First Tenure In TNA

Bruce Prichard having some fun.

The multifaceted Bruce Prichard is currently known for his 'Something To Wrestle' podcast that he hosts along with Conrad Thompson. Prior to Prichard's time as an award-winning podcaster he was a lead writer for WWE for many years and also spent time as a Vice President and talent relations overseer for TNA. Prichard began working for TNA in 2010 and was with the company for three years before being released. Prichard returned to IMPACT Wrestling in 2017 and appeared as an on-screen character opposed to the backstage position that he was accustom to.

Throughout his time in IMPACT, Prichard tried to change the mold of what was going on in the company and wanted to bring it to the next level. He shared those sentiments when he joined Sam Roberts for a live show during SummerSlam weekend and while Prichard was having fun on stage he told a brief story about his time in TNA and shared some "words of encouragement" that he received from Eric Bischoff who he worked in the company with during his first run with TNA.

“I did try to change it and I’ll never forget Eric Bischoff coming to me at one point in my TNA tenure and saying - he goes, ‘Bruce, they don’t have… I mean forget about two nickels to rub together, these motherf*ckers don’t have two pennies period. They don’t get it. Take the check and go home’ and I just could’t do that." Prichard said. "That was what was frustrating to me - trying to get them to open up and listen and have fun and go with it a little bit because… it was just a different environment.”

IMPACT Wrestling presented their 'Bound For Glory' event this past Sunday so head over to the "results" section of Fightful to read up on what went down at IMPACT's biggest show of the year.
