What happens when Rick James and Bruce Prichard walk into a club in New York City?
Exactly what you would imagine if you've watched the famous Chappelle's Show sketch featuring Rick James. Speaking on a recent episode of Something To Wrestle With, Prichard recalled his night out with the "Super Freak" singer.
"I sang Super Freak with Rick James on the stage at China Club in New York City," said Prichard. "Probably a week or two after he got out of jail for tying that lady up and kidnapping her. I had no idea who he was. When Rick went into jail, he was skinny and frail. When he came out, he was like 250-260 pounds. Looked like Rick James ate Rick James. 'Cocaine is a hell of a drug. Show me your titties, bitch. I'm Rick James, bitch.' I witnessed that shit live and in color at the China Club. All that shit on [Chappelle's Show], that's 100% real. He would get behind the bar and start serving people drinks. And the bartender, who hated everybody but was cool as shit, especially didn't like Rick coming back and serving people. The young lady came up and asked him for a drink. He was like, 'Show me your titties, bitch.' 'Who the fuck do you think you are?' 'I'm Rick James, bitch.'"
Prichard did not mention whether or not he gave those titties four thumbs down. Co-host Conrad Thompson asked Prichard how high he was that night. Prichard replied, "We had no problem raising the roof."
No word if Rick ended up fucking up Bruce's couch later that night.
