Bryan Danielson Says He's 'Fully Cleared' Ahead Of AEW WrestleDream

Bryan Danielson gives an update on his health.

Bryan Danielson suffered a broken arm at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door against Kazuchika Okada on June 25 and was sidelined until September 3, when he returned to the ring in a strap match against Ricky Starks.

TKO (WWE and UFC) Reports Revenue Of $629.7 Million, Net Loss Of $249.5 Million For Q1 2024

Danielson has wrestled a handful of times since making his return -- one tag team bout and two gimmick matches -- but will have his first straight singles matches at AEW WrestleDream against Zack Sabre Jr.

Speaking to Joseph Staszewski of the New York Post, Danielson said he "had to do more violent gimmick matches because it made it easier for him to protect his arm," but that he's "fully cleared" ahead of AEW WrestleDream.

“Our doctors would still not like me to do certain things, but from like two weeks ago when I had the tag match the strength in my hand is coming back way faster than they thought it would, the mobility and all that stuff,” Danielson said. “I still have to be cautious probably for the next year or so. They put a steel rod in my arm. One of the things they said is that it actually makes it more likely to break not where it broke before, but where the end of the rod is. It’s like a fulcrum for the bone to bend against.”

Danielson and ZSJ were originally scheduled to meet at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2022, but Danielson was injured ahead of the match.
