Bryan Danielson Says Kyle Fletcher Won’t Burn Out Like Other Young Stars, Compares Him To Randy Orton

Bryan Danielson compares Kyle Fletcher to Randy Orton.

During the Zero Hour ahead of AEW All Out: Toronto, Bryan Danielson referenced Randy Orton’s rise to the WWE main event scene at a young age when discussing Kyle Fletcher. Danielson, who has wrestled both Fletcher and Orton, credited Orton for being a young star who was able to reach the main event level early, while also still being able to wrestle at a high level 20 years later.

Fletcher, to Danielson, wrestles very smartly. As such, Danielson believes that Fletcher will not burn himself out, unlike many young wrestlers with potential who have in the past.

“There’s always going to be exceptions. Look at Randy Orton, who is the youngest WWE Champion in history, right? Here he is, he’s still competing at a super high level. I think when I look at, when I look at Kyle Fletcher, and the way that he’s performing. He is not performing stupidly, right? He gets in the ring, and what he does is so smart, and he’s not wrestling in a way where he’s going to burn himself out in four years.

“He’s also taking time to learn how to do the in-between things, how to just beat somebody down without taking any risks on his own, grounding a guy on the mat and just beating him to a pulp. He’s gotten really good at that, where I would say, two years ago, I would have agreed with you. Here today, I don’t think he’s burning himself out. I think if he wins the title tonight, he holds it for a long time.”

Bryan Danielson has wrestled Randy Orton in the main event of WrestleMania, along with Dave Bautista. Orton and Danielson traded the WWE Championship on several occasions between 2013 and 2014.

Kyle Fletcher will look to become one of the youngest men to win the AEW Men’s World Title when he faces Hangman Page at AEW All Out: Toronto.
