Bryan Danielson On Vince McMahon: No Comment, You Love Someone Even When They Make Mistakes

Bryan Danielson declined to comment on the allegations against Vince McMahon, but he noted that you still love someone when they make mistakes.

Danielson, formerly known as Daniel Bryan, signed with WWE, while McMahon was in charge, in 2009, and after he was released for choking Justin Roberts with a tie on WWE Raw, the company brought him back in August 2010. Over the next decade, he turned into one of the promotion's top stars and became a Grand Slam Champion. Danielson left WWE when his contract expired in 2021, and he subsequently signed with AEW.

In recent weeks, McMahon has been the subject of an investigation regarding alleged sexual misconduct and hush money. The former WWE Chairman and CEO retired on July 22, and an 8-K filing by WWE revealed that "the Company has identified Unrecorded Expenses totaling approximately $14.6 million", which are linked to McMahon.

During a media scrum at Starrcast V (via MuscleManMalcolm), Danielson was asked about McMahon's retirement, and he opted not to comment. However, he noted that with the former chairman and in life, you still love someone when they make mistakes.

"So first thing I should say is no comment," he responded. "Second thing I should say about stuff and just Vince in general, and maybe it’s more about love, if you love somebody, is people make mistakes, and you love them regardless, you know?"

During a live episode of The Sessions with Renee Paquette at Starrcast V, Danielson discussed his recent injury. You can check out his comments here.
