The August 7 AEW Dynamite card has undergone small changes that could potentially have a big impact.
It was previously known that Maxwell Jacob Friedman would be taking on Kyle Fletcher on August 7. The match is now an AEW American Championship Eliminator Match. This change was made on the August 3 Saturday Collision after Kyle Fletcher defeated Brian Cage. He challenged Maxwell to a championship match. Maxwell responded via the video wall and said that he would grant Fletcher an Eliminator contest.
This means if Kyle Fletcher wins, he will get an eventual championship match.

In another change, it was previously known that Bryan Danielson would take on Jeff Jarrett for the first time ever. However, following the August 3 episode of Saturday Collision, that match is now an Anything Goes Match.
Also, as was previously announced, Ricky Steamboat will be ringside for the match.
